About
Edouard spent years as a nomad before he found this small village in the French Pyrenees and bought the place. He was not from here, had never even been here before. He was just looking for somewhere in the mountains that felt right. And it did. Now he lives here full-time and invites others to share it. Aulus Coliving is community-focused but not forced. There are communal dinners four nights a week and a family meeting on Thursday evenings to plan what is ahead. But beyond that structure, Edouard steps back. He wants the connection to happen the way it actually does: bumping into someone in the kitchen while waiting for your coffee, having breakfast with the same people a few days in a row, slowly getting to know each other through the small daily moments rather than organised activities. Everybody here is working on something. That shared rhythm gives the place its balance. You work, you go outside, you eat together, you wind down. Hiking trails start right from the village. In winter there is skiing. The village itself is tiny but alive, with a supermarket, a crepe place, a pizza spot, two cafes, and a spa with thermal baths, all within a two-minute walk. You can get here without a car, with a direct bus and train connection from Toulouse. The honest downside: there are church bells. Edouard cannot fix that, and the next mayor election is in six years.Work & WiFi
- WiFi download and upload speeds of 500 Mbps each
- 4G/5G hotspot backup available; internet interruptions are extremely rare

Community & Social
- Communal dinners four evenings a week, Monday to Thursday, with residents taking turns to participate
- Weekly family meeting on Thursday evenings to look back at the week and plan what is ahead
- Regular activities including farmer's market visits, local restaurant outings, weekend hikes, morning yoga, and HIIT sessions
- A full-time on-site host who facilitates rather than manages, creating space for organic connection rather than a packed activity calendar
- Edouard's view is that the real connection happens in the small daily moments: breakfast with the same people, a coffee in the kitchen, a familiar face on day one when you return
- The dinners and the weekly meeting are the framework
- Everything else grows from there
- Residents tend to stay a month or more, which means you genuinely get to know the people around you

Perfect for
Remote workers and anyone with a project they are actively working on. People who want a real home base in nature, not just a holiday stop. Those who appreciate organic community over organised social pressure. Mountain lovers, but also people who just want a quieter, healthier pace of life. Solo travellers or couples looking for a mix of focus and genuine connection. Dog owners are welcome, with conditions.
Not right for
People looking for a short holiday with a hotel-style experience. Anyone who needs a big-city lifestyle, nightlife, or constant new stimulation. Guests who want parties several times a week; the village is quiet and that is the point. Light sleepers who cannot tolerate church bells. Stays shorter than 2 weeks.
