About
Thomas built this place to represent everything he loves about living in Las Palmas: sport, movement, a healthy rhythm, and real human connection. He had already thought about hostels years ago, but a coliving made more sense because it lets people actually live here for a month or two, build habits, and get to know each other properly. The sport focus came from a moment of inspiration during two days off after months of grinding. He thought: why not create a space that attracts people with a similar mindset? People who wake up early because they want to move, who respect shared spaces, who eat well and work with focus. That is exactly who ends up here. The rooms are named after sports. There is a calisthenics room with a pull-up bar next to the bed. Every room has a yoga mat. The rooftop terrace is set up for training. Yoga classes, handstand sessions, AcroYoga, ice bathing, running events, beach volleyball: the community calendar is built around movement. Community dinners happen too, but they are guest-led and organic. Thomas chips in for the ingredients and lets it unfold naturally. The location is a short walk from Las Canteras beach, a proper city with nearly 400,000 people, and just one kilometre from the wild rocky coastline at Confital where you can run alongside crashing waves with almost no one around. For Thomas, that combination of sand, city, and raw nature so close together is what makes Las Palmas feel like home. And that feeling comes through in the coliving.Work & WiFi
- 100 Mbps download and upload WiFi throughout the space
- Dedicated coworking area with 8 workstations and ergonomic chairs
- Work desk included in every private room
- Free drinking water, coffee, and tea provided
- No wired ethernet option currently available
- No backup internet connection
- Phone booth or dedicated call room is not available; early or late calls may sometimes disturb others in the coworking space
Community & Social
- The coliving runs around 2 to 8 organised events per month, with more activity during the high season in January and February
- Regular formats include Vinyasa and Rocket Yoga, handstand training, AcroYoga, calisthenics sessions, Run and Brunch, ice bathing, and hiking
- Beach volleyball events and circuit training at the beach are also part of the programme
- Community dinners happen regularly and are guest-led; Thomas covers most of the ingredients when someone wants to cook for the group
- The coliving is intentionally not a party space
- Noise is kept down from around 10 or 11 in the evening
- Thomas is present at many community dinners and organises events, but gives the community space to develop naturally
- With only 13 to 17 people across three nearby locations, the community feels close without being crowded or anonymous
- The sport focus means the people who end up here tend to share a similar mindset: active, calm, productive, and genuinely open to connecting with others
Comfort & Living
- 14 private rooms across three nearby locations, ranging from 6 to 16 m2
- Single and double beds available depending on the room
- Mix of ensuite and shared bathrooms (shared with 2 or 3 people in some rooms)
- Some rooms have windows only facing internal patios, not the street
- Some rooms have blackout curtains; not all
- All rooms have a lock on the door and enough space for a yoga mat
- Fresh linens and towels provided and included in the price
- Washing machines with detergent included
- Fully equipped shared kitchen, living room, rooftop, and gym or fitness area on site
- Sport equipment included: yoga mats, weights, resistance bands, racing bike, volleyball net, and more
- Utilities (water and electricity) included
- No air conditioning and no heating in rooms
- No television on site
- Meals and airport transfers are not included
- Sound insulation between bedrooms and main living areas is good; hallways and some patio-facing windows are less insulated, so considerate behaviour is expected
- No smoking or vaping anywhere on site, including terraces
Location & Surroundings
- Located in the Isleta neighbourhood of Las Palmas, a city of around 380,000 people with a large expat and digital nomad community
- Las Canteras beach is a short walk away
- Playa de Confital, a wild rocky coastal area with hills and crashing waves, is about 1 km on foot
- Nearest supermarket is 250 metres away
- Around 15 restaurants and cafes within 500 metres
- Bus stop 4 minutes on foot; good public transport connections across the city
- Airport is approximately 25 minutes by taxi
- No car needed: everything essential is walkable or bikeable
- Nearby sports: gym, yoga studio, hiking trails, cycling routes, sea swimming, pole dance studio, beach volleyball, padel, beach tennis, table tennis, and a calisthenics park
- Las Palmas has a very stable climate year-round: daytime temperatures typically between 20 and 29 degrees Celsius, never extreme
- High season runs November to March; summer months (May to September) are quieter and cheaper
Perfect for
Remote workers who move regularly but want a real base for one to three months. People who take their health and training seriously but do not need a gym-bro atmosphere. Solo travellers between 25 and 40 who want to connect with like-minded people without it turning into a party house. Anyone who wants to wake up early, move their body, do focused work, and end the day feeling good.
Not right for
People looking for a party atmosphere or frequent nightlife at home. Smokers or vapers, including on the terraces. Anyone who needs a hotel-style experience or prefers to stay completely separate from the community. People who regularly take loud calls from shared spaces or need a fully soundproofed environment. Those who want a room with natural street-facing light, as half the rooms face internal patios.
